Located in the the province of Tarragona and next to the world-famous area of Siurana -where some of the hardest sport routes of the world are located - Arbolí offers an alternative to the often crowded walls of Siurana.

The sector that is being developed by an small but enthusiastic gang of local climbers, offers hundreds of routes that range from 6b to to 7a for the most part. That is excellent difficulty if you are just beginning to climb hard. About the style, Arbolí offers mostly vertical climb on crimps and edges, the rock is the very same limestone that you will find in Siurana although the different “old scholly” style of the routes gives the climbing in Arbolí a distinctive style.

The village of Arbolí, located next to the climbing sector, has a cozy hotel were you can rest after a day in the rock. The weather in Arbolí like in Siurana is perfect all year around with the exceptión of the summer when climbing in the shade is a must. Also spring and autumn tend to be quite rainy, but if you come in a sunny winter day you can climb shirtless in the middle of january.

Margalef is a climbing sector were you can climb all sorts of routes. Even if this area is well known for his superhard climbing in pockets. The walls of Margalef hide long flow routes, and technical climbing.

Siurana. Hide in the the outskirts of Montsant Natural park. It is worldwide known for having some of the hardest routes in the world. Like La rambla (9a+).
